We opened our first studio, 698 Hart Street 2 1/2 years ago (now Closed) and our 228 Suydam Location a little more than 1 1/2 years ago. We have opened a new 2600 sqft, full service, multi-level studio in Ridgewood called Myrtle's Clayhouse at 60-21 Myrtle Avenue

Bushwick Ceramics is a community-first studio built by artists, for artists. We combine professional-level facilities with a relaxed, collaborative vibe — where beginners, hobbyists, and working ceramicists share the same space. Our studios are independently owned, locally rooted, and focused on access, education, and mutual respect rather than mass programming.

Not at all. We welcome everyone — from complete beginners to seasoned ceramic artists. Our 6-week classes are structured to guide new students through every step of handbuilding and wheel throwing, while our membership program supports more independent makers looking for consistent studio access. We also offer 1 day workshops.

Membership is $275 a month and gives you unlimited open studio access during operating hours 9am-9pm, dedicated storage, use of glazes and tools, and discounted firings. Each member becomes part of a larger community — helping keep the studio clean, respectful, and creative. We currently have studios in Bushwick (Bushwick Ceramics 228 Suydam St) and Ridgewood (Myrtle's Clayhouse 60-21 Myrtle Ave), both equipped with kilns, wheels, and communal workspaces.

At this time, firing is reserved from members and student of the studios. We do however have at-home memberships at 228 Suydam St for $150 per month that allows glaze usage and discounted firings. Please contact us for more details.
