Service Description
Price includes instruction, studio clay, materials, tool usage, glazing and firings. This 6 week class is for students with or without knowledge of wheel throwing. In this class we will introduce the fundamentals of working on a potter's wheel. *Students can expect to finish around 5 pieces by the end of the course, with a maximum of 8 pieces to take home. Please remember that these classes are designed for learning and exploration—not high-volume production. We encourage a focus on skill-building and creative growth. Tuesdays from 6:30-9pm From 12/2-1/6 Cancelations must be before 11/25 to be eligible for a refund. Bio I’m an artist who works primarily in ceramics because of clay’s history of function and connection to home. I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in May 2019 with a BFA in Ceramics and a concentration in Graphic Design. After completing a two year residency at Clay Art Center, I’m now an instructor at doclay, and a studio tech at The Potter’s Wheel and Chambers Pottery. Teaching others how to develop a deeper relationship with clay and art has become an integral part of my artistic process. In my classes, I encourage my students to explore their interests and develop their practice in a way that best makes sense to them. @annychenart
