Clay, studio tools, glazes and firings included in the price. Class overview: This 6-week afternoon session will be all about the basics of wheel throwing. This class is great for first timers as well as students who have already taken a beginner class before. We will be starting from the very beginning to master the fundamental processes, including: wedging, centering, throwing cylinders (and other forms), trimming, and glazing. There's absolutely no pressure to have any experience or have it all figured out. Come to class with an open mind and we will work through your goals together to make some beautiful, unique pieces! 228 Suydam Street Tuesdays 1/13-2/17 6:30-9pm *Students can expect to finish around 5 pieces by the end of the course, with a maximum of 8 pieces to take home. Please remember that these classes are designed for learning and exploration—not high-volume production. We encourage a focus on skill-building and creative growth. Cancellations must be before 1/7 to be eligible for a refund. ($25 cancellation fee) Instructor Bio: Heidi is a working artist who has 8 years of wheel throwing experience. She graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in Studio Art and currently works at the School of Visual Arts.
